One started trying to sell $160 decorated Starbucks cups. Things got so bad, way before the pandemic. When Storybook started the price points were way higher and I didn't purchase anything since it was limited preorder. I was a FotM subscriber before their first anniversary and things were decent quality for the money and on time and had great customer service. I think it's pretty well known now within the beauty community to avoid purchasing from them, but I cannot stress enough how true that is. Didn't arrive broken or anything, and the quality of the shadows are actually really good. One random day six months later, it arrives. I gave up, and accepted the fact that I had just lost about $80 AUD. I DM'd them, they replied saying they would look into it, and then I never heard from them again. The brand actually replied to my comment and told me to DM them with my order details. I commented on their Insta posts, only to find that was how every other person was trying to contact them as well because it appeared no one was getting replies from their customer service email! I constantly emailed customer service, but never EVER got a reply. Shipping cost more than the palette itself, so I waited for a free international shipping sale before ever purchasing anything. I'm an Aussie, and two years ago I ordered the Mean Girls palette.įirstly, the shipping was BEYOND a fucking joke to get here. OMG I have been wanting to talk about this for so long. I wonder how many orders were charged but unfulfilled. They promised things and never delivered. When the comments didn't go their way they turned off comments. They tried to scam customers so many times. It's crazy to watch them burn it to the ground so effectively. I hope someone does an in-depth YouTube video about it. The way they went about book club was screwed up too. But I don't think they had the funds or business skill to take it where it could have been taken. ![]() I was super excited about them at first because I'm a book nerd. I think they were terribly managed and poorly funded. They haven't even updated their Instagram since February. ![]() Then covid hit and I think that further screwed them. I think what happened is all the sisters had babies all at the same time and no one had time to put into the business. I've been DYING to talk to someone about this! Wtf is happening with that brand? I've been thinking they were shady for years now.
